There's a robot that can be found for any carpet type, whether it's high-pile or low-pile. These smart devices will navigate your home in a way that is automated, pick up debris and clean under furniture.

iRobot Roomba 694"

This vacuum is a bit slower than the others, however it is still able to reach the majority of crevices and corners. It has a large bin which makes it much easier to empty. It's compatible with virtual barriers and digital mapping, which allow you to restrict it to certain areas or even stop cleaning completely if you want to keep it from getting stuck on something.

Although it's not the top model in its price range however, it's superior to many other alternatives. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with superior cleaning efficiency on carpets that are low and bare. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a cleaner path. This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a good job on hard floors and carpets with low pile. The combo brush can reach into corners and edges, and it automatically boosts suction when it senses carpet. It is also effective at cleaning dirt embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. If you wish to alter the floor level or set zones that aren't allowed, you'll have to manually reset the map.

The IQ app provides advanced mapping and automated functions, however it lacks no-go zones. These are available only on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing technology allows for greater maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is effective but it could get caught on the tassels of the rug.

In our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove lots of debris on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less effective with shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was capable of navigating chair legs and tight spaces as well as the bottom of an wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a bigger dustbin, a longer battery life and is better at navigating obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can clean up sticky debris. On the other hand the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and has lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning the point it started, even if its battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice, which can be a big plus for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't one of the most feature-rich models, but it offers great cleaning power at an affordable price. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or an app to control the device. The robot can run for more than an hour and includes an remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base, and additional filters.

The 11S is slim, sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles the brushed appearance of aluminum. It's a nice departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

The eufy11S performed well in our tests to remove larger debris and fine dust from hard flooring. It struggled to deep clean carpets with high and medium piles. The device also has a tendency to bump into furniture and people in its path however, it's able detect these obstacles using sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it encounters an obstacle. It is then possible to manually steer the device around it to get it to work again.

Another great aspect of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction strength to match the type of floor and level of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to your desired area.
